Why It Matters
Imagine sitting in your truck for 4 to 10 hours.
No access to a bathroom. No running water. No place to clean up.
And you’re expected to stay professional, alert, and compliant.
Here’s the truth:
Truckers aren’t guests at these facilities — we are the reason they operate.
Without us, freight doesn’t move. Orders don’t ship. Inventory doesn’t arrive.
Yet the very people who rely on us lock their doors, hang “Employees Only” signs, and pretend we don’t exist.
This creates:
Health risks from holding in waste for hours
Hygiene issues on the road
Fatigue, dehydration, and discomfort
A feeling of being disrespected and dehumanized

What We’re Demanding
We demand a federal regulation requiring all commercial shippers and receivers to provide:
Clean, accessible restrooms for all commercial drivers on site
At least one operational shower per facility (where dwell times exceed 2+ hours)
Zero denial of access based on carrier, company, or policy
If a facility requires a driver to wait — even for 10 minutes — it must provide access to sanitation.
No exceptions. No excuses.
